What
is coaching?
Coaching
is a partnership between two people. Together, the client and
the coach design a plan to help the
client make changes, begin to grow, and proceed down the path
toward a more fulfilling life. One of the reasons it works is
that a coach helps the client stay focused and move forward.
A coach is like the small voice saying, "Are you really doing
what you want to do? What have you done lately to accomplish
your goal?"
What
does coaching accomplish?
What
must clients possess?
Desire
the desire to change, and to achieve. The gap between
what they have and what they want is what makes coaching effective,
and enjoyable. Clients also must be willing to take strong actions,
to change behaviors, to learn new skills, and to experiment
along the way.
What
is the coaching process?
Coaching
is provided on a weekly basis, three times a month for 30 to
45 minutes, plus phone calls and e-mails in between the calls.
My first conversation with clients will be longer in order to
get to know them and to co-create a direction with them. I welcome
calls to listen, to answer clients' questions and to tell them
specifically how I can help.
