Through
coaching executives become incredibly successful
In my coaching
work, I "partner" with executives to help them clarify
their business and personal visions, and we focus on the goals
they desire. Executives sharpen their interpersonal skills
and hone their leadership capabilities. And we go much further:
my client executives work toward a more perfect life, where
professional and personal lives are balanced, where relationships
are functioning well at all levels, where there is much inner
joy and satisfaction with life, and where the executive is on
course for leaving his/her chosen legacy in this world. My coaching
is more than teaching and training: executives put the
learned skills and new knowledge into ACTION.
How
we work together
- We usually
connect on the telephone, for time and cost effectiveness.
- We usually
work on a regular schedule with specific appointments, typically
30 minutes per call.
- We use
check lists, if desired, to establish a base line and measure
progress along the way.
- We typically
start with a complementary coaching session to explore the
purpose of coaching for each individual client, and to determine
compatibility between client and coach.
- Please
contact me for a free evaluation to determine whether we are
right for each other.
My
beliefs about executives:
Executives
act as stewards
Executives
are stewards of vital resources: human resources, knowledge,
physical assets. Executives develop and optimize these resources
and take good care of them for their stakeholders. Along with
challenges at work, executives are, like everyone else, confronted
also with issues of scarce personal resources, such as time,
energy, health, and relationships. A tall order to manage, allocate
and balance well.
Executives
are developed, not born
Executives
are not born, they are developed. While they often have certain
behavioral traits and a strong passion to lead, to achieve great
results, to win, they still must develop their key leadership
and personal skills. Effective executives are no accident, and
they are not loners. They are very good at developing and communicating
a clear vision to others. They are able to inspire others to
join them on a clear path toward success. They have the courage
to learn, to grow, to change, to be totally honest, to be guided.
Coaching
has a history: every olympic athlete has a coach
Just like
world-class athletes, successful executives choose coaches/partners
to walk/run alongside them, to help them see their blind spots,
to encourage and support them during tough stretches up the
mountain, to challenge them, to empower them, to brainstorm,
to weigh risks and alternatives, to bring out the best in them.
Why would an ambitious executive want to do without a coach?
